San Francisco 49ers Terminate Dilfer’s Contract

The San Francisco 49ers terminated the contract of quarterback Trent Dilfer on Thursday, March 14.  Dilfer, the sixth overall pick in the 1994 NFL Draft by Tampa Bay, led the Baltimore Ravens to a win in Super Bowl XXXV, but was dropped by the club shortly afterward.
