Will Brady Be Ready?

Tom Brady is reportedly nursing a right foot injury.  The cause of the injury has not been disclosed.  He has stated that he will be ready for the season opener, even if he is unable to play in Thursday night’s final exhibition game at the N.Y. Giants.

Lorenzo Neal Works Out with Bucs

It was reported, on Wednesday, August 6, 2008, that free agent fullback Lorenzo Neal worked out with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Neal is a 15-year veteran and a 3-time Pro Bowler.  He previously played with New Orleans (1993-96), the New York Jets (1997), Tampa Bay (1998), Tennessee (1999-2000), Cincinnati (2001-2002) and, most recently, San Diego (2003-2007).

It has been reported that, as of Wednesday night, Brett Favre was traded by the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets.  I am hopeful that we can get past Favregate and that the football pundits can now talk about something else like . . . the football season, fantasy football picks, etc.

Congratulations to the Hall of Fame Inductees

The Pro Football Hall of Fame welcomed 6 new inductees on Saturday, August 2, 2008.  The inductees are Darrell Green, Art Monk, Fred Dean, Andre Tippett, Emmitt Thomas, and Gary Zimmerman.

It has been reported that Brett Favre will be reinstated on Monday, and that he will report to camp Monday, 1 p.m. ET.
